Info about Cancer
Does growth hormone cause cancer?
Yes! Growth hormone is one of the factors leading to the cancer cell formations. Cancers are tumors which travel through blood streams and destroy other cells in the body through the process called invasion. There are various types of cancer cells. HGH contributes to an extent for the building up of cancer tissues. Higher levels of growth hormones can lead to building up of tissues and cells, which are not necessary. This ultimately leads to cancer. The dietary supplements rich in HGH are not always recommended due to this factor. Medical supervision is advised while dealing with growth hormone related disease.
Recombinant or synthetic HGH is mostly used in the replacement therapies. Some research shows that cancer cells are formed due to these therapies as they are using synthetic hormone. The artificial HGH when not matching with the normal HGH produced naturally in the human body leads to cell mutations. As the secretion of growth hormone decreases with age, the chances of cancer should also decrease if it is directly related to the growth hormone levels. But this is not seen in most cases due to which researchers started working on replacement treatment of HGH. Every DNA molecule has a unique structure. Hence, matching of artificial hormones with the natural ones is not always complete.
